Lip definition and balance
Lips change over time. They can lose definition, look thinner or uneven, and fine lines can form around the mouth. Lip treatments are a big part of Dina's work, and every plan starts with a careful look at how your lips sit with the rest of your face.
Our approach
Natural-looking, never one size fits all
Good lip work is about balance. Your lips are assessed alongside your teeth, chin, nose and the way your mouth moves when you talk and smile, so any plan suits your face rather than a trend.
We take a conservative approach, often building gradually over more than one appointment. At your consultation we talk through what you would like to change, what is realistic, and whether treatment is right for you. Sometimes the honest answer is that it is not.
Care before and after
Lips are a delicate area with a rich blood supply. Dina will explain how to prepare, what to expect in the days after, and how to reach us if you have any concerns.
What we look at
Common lip concerns
Your consultation looks at your lips as part of your whole face, not in isolation.
Definition
A softer lip border or Cupid's bow that has become less defined over time.
Balance
Upper and lower lips that look uneven, or out of proportion with each other.
Thinning
Lips that have become thinner or flatter with age.
Hydration
Lips that look dry or lack a smooth, hydrated appearance.
Lines around the mouth
Fine vertical lines above the upper lip.
Mouth corners
Corners of the mouth that have started to turn down.

Safety
Risks and recovery
All injectable treatments carry risks. Swelling, tenderness and bruising are common after lip treatment and usually settle within a few days. Lips can look more swollen on the first day or two, so we recommend avoiding treatment right before an important event.
Less common risks include lumps, asymmetry, infection, allergic reaction and cold sore flare-ups. Rare but serious complications include blockage of a blood vessel, which can affect the skin or, very rarely, vision. We explain all of this at your consultation and are trained to recognise and manage complications.
- Tell us if you get cold sores, as you may need preventive treatment first.
- Avoid alcohol, heavy exercise and blood-thinning supplements before treatment where advised.
- You will receive written aftercare and a direct contact for any concerns.
