Chemical peels

Clinical peels refresh the surface of the skin to help with dullness, uneven tone, congestion and texture. Every peel is chosen for your skin after an in-person skin consultation.

Concerns

What peels can help with

Peels work on the outer layers of the skin and are usually planned as a course.

Dullness

Skin that has lost its brightness and glow.

Uneven tone

Sun damage, patchy pigmentation and redness.

Congestion

Blocked pores, breakouts and oily skin.

Texture

Rough skin and fine surface lines.

Acne marks

The appearance of marks left after breakouts.

Preparation

Getting skin ready ahead of an event or other treatments.

How it works

Choosing the right peel

Peels use carefully selected acids to loosen and lift dead skin cells from the surface. Gentle peels give a fresh, brighter look with little or no downtime. Stronger peels work more deeply and may cause light flaking for a few days.

We use practitioner-only peels from our Aspect Dr range and choose the type and strength for your skin, your concerns and your plans for the weeks ahead. Most people see the best progress with a course of peels spaced a few weeks apart, supported by the right skincare at home.

Before and after your peel

  • Stop retinol and other active skincare for the time we advise beforehand.
  • Wear SPF 50+ every day, and avoid sun, heat and sweating for 48 hours afterwards.
  • Let any flaking come away on its own.

Your appointment

What to expect

Every peel starts with a skin consultation, so we know your skin is ready.

  1. First

    Skin consultation

A close look at your skin, your history and the products you use.

  2. Then

    Your plan

The right peel and strength for you, and how many sessions to expect.

  3. Next

    Treatment

Your skin is cleansed, the peel applied and neutralised, then soothed and protected.

  4. After

    Homecare

Simple aftercare and skincare to support your results between visits.

Safety

Risks and recovery

Redness, tightness, warmth and light flaking are common for a few days. Less common risks include irritation, breakouts, changes in pigmentation and, rarely, infection or scarring.

Peels may not suit you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active cold sores or skin infections, or use certain acne medications. We check all of this at your consultation.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will my skin peel?

It depends on the peel. Gentle peels often cause no visible peeling, while stronger peels can cause light flaking for a few days.

How many peels will I need?

Most concerns respond best to a course spaced a few weeks apart. We will recommend a plan at your consultation.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

We usually recommend waiting until the next day. We will give you specific aftercare for your peel.

Can peels be combined with other treatments?

Often, yes, with the right spacing. We will tell you what is safe to combine and what needs to wait.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the peel and your plan, and is discussed at your consultation.
